Dr Hohepa Tamehana (BMM, MIS, PhD) | Dr. Tamehana is of the Ngai Tūhoe tribe with hapū affiliations to Ngāti Koura, Ngāti Haka and Patuheuheu. His research background is in Cultural Anthropology, more specifically, the transformation of traditional Māori culture in contemporary times. He has also worked extensively among First Nations communities in Canada. For the past ten years he has been leading the He Waka Hiringa teaching team to help develop the programme to meet the needs of cultural practitioners. |
